Bethany Russell

Owner / Instructor / Personal Trainer

Bethany has been instructing in the Fairbanks community since 2007. With over a decade of experience and a range of training styles, she is a versatile and knowledgeable teacher and trainer. Bethany's first venture into the fitness world was in 2006 when she took her first core class. She was humbled by how challenging it was and amazed by how much stronger it made her. Since beginning to teach Core in 2007 she has gone on to teach many other classes and pursue a variety of certifications. Core, however, has remained her first love. Involving core has become her signature style and influences all of her other teaching and training pursuits.

In 2014 Bethany Discovered Aerial Silks and a new passion for performance art. Since embarking on her Aerial Journey Bethany has pursued training on Lyra (Aerial Hoop), Trapeze, and Aerial Sling. In 2017 Bethany received Level 1 and 2 Aerial Teacher Training at Aerial Physique with Jill Franklin. She has since pursued further education by traveling to train with noted coaches across the country. In 2021 Bethany attended Level 3 Aerial Teacher training at Aerial Physique and followed with Comprehensive Lyra Teacher training (Level 1 and 2) with Soar Aerial Dance. Bethany continues to strive to bring the best coaching possible to the Fairbanks Community.

Bethany is a certified NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) personal trainer who specializes in working with individuals recovering from injury or are learning to move their body in a safe and efficient way.

In her personal life Bethany is a wife, mother, coffee and wine enthusiast, and she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends.

Cora DeLaca is a born and raised Alaskan who grew up on a farm just outside Fairbanks. She began her Aerial journey with silks at 11 years of age. Cora continued to train with multiple Alaskan based studios throughout the nine years she has been in the aerial community.

Cora is known for her dynamic choreography on apparatus such as lyra, sling, and silks. She is now sharing her knowledge with the next generation of upcoming aerialists at Cirque Alaska.

When Cora is not hanging out at the studio you’ll find her rock climbing and skiing around Fairbanks with her trusty sidekick “Leo the adventure cat”.

Jennifer Anderson

Jennifer Anderson

Instructor

From a young age, Jennifer has had a passion for dance and the beauty and emotion that is conveyed and shared through it. Physical fitness and health are core to Jennifer's desire for a healthy lifestyle, and this has led her to many different styles of movement. When Jennifer discovered pole, she found that it combined her passion for movement and expression with physical fitness. She became a certified pole instructor in levels 1-3. Jennifer loves the challenge and beauty of pole, and the opportunity it provides for different styles of choreography. As an instructor, she is always increasing her awareness and understanding by taking courses and learning from others. Her favorite way to teach is by combining her knowledge of dance with pole skills. She endeavors to make pole accessible to everyone so that others can feel confident and capable through pole too! Jennifer is an elementary school teacher by day, and she enjoys working with kids and helping them discover their strengths.

 Jessica Alexander

Jessica Alexander

Instructor

Jessica has loved Pole Dancing since she first stumbled into the club when she was 18 years old. Since then she has rocked the pole for over a decade in various clubs throughout Alaska and Nevada. She is passionate about Music, Dance, Fun Costumes, and of course Sexy Heels!

After coaching new girls at the club for years, Jessica (AKA “Dani”) decided to officially become a Pole Dance Instructor. She trained with the “OG” of Pole Dance Instructors, Fawnia Mondey, at Pole Fitness Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has completed Instructor Certifications in levels 1-4 of Pole Dance, as well as Beginner and Advanced Chair Dance.

She has also done a variety of workshops and classes including “Twerkshop”, Floor Work, and Sexy Heels.

According to Jessica, Pole really is one of the best workouts you can do. It’s cardio, strength building, and flexibility all in one, not to mention a major confidence booster! Jessica says she loves to teach and empower her students to feel sexy and confident in their own skin. “I love seeing the look on a student's face when they conquer a new pole trick or kill their latest dance routine. There’s no better feeling as an instructor”

Outside of the studio Jessica is a loving wife, and mother of 2 boys, a 22 year old and a 1 year old who keeps her on her toes. She loves wine, coffee, chocolate, and also enjoys traveling with her family, usually to the beach in Hawaii!

Max Pananen

Max Pananen

Instructor

What can be said about Max? Seriously, we don't even know that much about him. There are rumors that he used to tame dragons (really?), out riddled sphinxes (what?), sailed between the horns of Africa by himself in a kayak (blindfolded he claimed and plural? yes, we have questions too), and bested a gorilla in a banana eating contest and subsequently a wrestling match and subsequently after that a foot race (he is no longer welcome at the local zoo). People even say he once managed to NOT spend his PFD check all at once.

The point is we're not sure where myth and legend end and the man begins. We let him teach Intro Silks for Adults because as he says "children are gross and annoying" and this way he can blast heavy metal and swear appropriately for emphasis when needed.

One thing we know is that Max has traveled to the far off lands of Los Angeles to train with Aerial Physique’s very own Gabe Hilden-Reid. If you are an adult looking to start a new aerial silks quest…Max is your man.

Miker Frantes

Miker Frantes

Instructor

Miker began aerials back in 2015 when an aerial class invaded his rock climbing space.  After years of looking for a corde lisse instructor in Fairbanks, he decided to take the teacher training from Paperdoll Militia to be the corde instructor he needed to see in the world.  He divides most of his time between his bed and his couch.  Once a year, he disappears into the woods in a sasquatch costume to make sure people still believe they are real.  He lived in a cave for many years and still feels like a troll who will turn to stone if he sees the sun.  He enjoys traveling around and taking classes at other studios throughout the world just to see what else there is to this corde thing he got tricked into.

Nel C

Nel C

Instructor

Nel C is a native of the D.C. Metro Area.  She's taught pole, conditioning and flexibility for over a decade. She loves having fun with fundamentals, making basics beautiful, and telling really bad pole jokes. A poler in the "OG" style, Nel has trained with Alethea Austin, Karol Helms, Pantera Blacksmith, Annemarie Davies and tons more.

Nel served as a Pole Sport Organization Unicorn in the Atlantic region. She's an avid performer and competitor with a flare for hair tossing, heel clacks and jazz hands.  She once shared a stage with Pink Puma and Sam Starr (ok, she was the pole cleaner) and held the title of second most entertaining pole dancer over 30 on the East Coast. (She has won competitions and gotten older since.)

Self proclaimed movement nerd, Nel C has completed Pole Level 1 certification through ElevatED and is an ACE Certified personal trainer focusing on modifications and functional movement.

She is the Official Deputy Adult of PoleCon. She has too many cats. Her mom still makes her costumes.
